I guess that I am basically a friendly guy. But many people see me as some kind of terrorist. For many years I have been editor of scientific journals and books(Academic Press, MIT Press and others) as well as organiser of conferences. So I had a key role in deciding which 5 or 10% of material submitted was to be selected. It means that you make 5 or 10% "friends" (I put the word friends in "" because when you select the work of a guy (s)he finds it quite normal) and 90 to 95 % ennemies( I did not put the word enemies in ""). Even though I was quite confident in my decisions most of the time as the evaluation criteria of scientific data are relatively clear cut, there were still some cases where I was not confident but still had to make a decision. In such cases I made clear that my decision was impacted by personal bias.
So most of the time I had to tell people "sorry your submission did not make it.."
But when I look at art, I do not have a professional duty to make decisions and tell people about it.. I do not have a compulsion to tell people "your stuff stinks!!!" even if this is what I feel.
I am in a very enjoyable position, I can just ignore work that does not appeal to me, and focus on work that makes me tick. So I do not have to tell people "well you did not make it because..." of course scientists want to know why they are rejected and it is hard to come up with the motivations.
Jury members have an easier life if they just have to say "sorry you did not make it" without having to say why.
I am in a position where I can just avoid having to tell people that I am not impressed by their work.
But I can tell people that I like their work, and this makes me feel good. I started only around three years ago to draw and look at contemporary artists. But because of my education and family relations I have always been exposed to great art, in particular the first half of the twentiest century. In your case I see a whole body of work that impacts the art scene, (apart from my personal feelings).
So it is a long winded answer to your comment "you are always very friendly". No I am not always very friendly and my comments come from my heart, you or I could be bad guys, your art and my feelings about it would still be there :)

I am always very pleased to hear that my work is appreciated by others, especially when the reviews are honest and unpretentious as they are yours, my dear friend.
Apologies for my poor english... :)
